Voltaren® Pain Relief Gel 12.5g contains Voltaren® 12.5% w/w (1% w/w).
Voltaren® (Diclofenac Sodium) works by relieving your body to reduce the pain and swelling caused by this or any injury.
Voltaren® (Diclofenac Sodium) is prescribed to be applied to the skin twice a day, to control pain and swelling at the site of application.

Do not use Voltaren® (Diclofenac Sodium) if you are allergic to it, or if it is given by injection. Do not smoke or know who has a prescription for this medicine, or if it is a regular medicine. Avoid smoking by using a product containing nicotine or a patch. Do not use for longer than 4 hours at a time, unless directed by your doctor. Do not use Voltaren® (Diclofenac Sodium) unless directed by your doctor. Do not stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor.
Do not give this medicine to anyone under 18 years old.
Many side effects are not serious and may go away when you stop using the medicine.
Side effects that usually do not go away, may improve after you stop using this medicine.
I have had very few adverse reactions to this medicine. The most frequent adverse effects reported in one study were: headache, nausea, back pain, abdominal pain, flushing, nasal congestion, dizziness, and backache. The most common adverse reactions reported in the other two studies were: diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, or vomiting with blood in stool. Less common adverse reactions reported in the two studies were: rash, itching, red skin rash with peeling skin, and rash on face, tongue, lips, throat, and the back of the head. Very rarely, some of the reactions reported in the two studies were severe and required immediate medical attention. Very rarely, the reactions reported in the two studies were more common. If you have any of the following serious side effects, stop using this medicine: headache, chest pain, dizziness, or a rash, it is advised to consult your doctor for further advice: chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling of hands and feet, severe fatigue, muscle weakness, trouble sleeping, unusual bleeding or bruising.

Voltaren Emulgel contains the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), diclofenac. Diclofenac works to relieve pain and reduce inflammation (swelling). The Emulgel technology helps the gel to penetrate deeply into the skin to enhance delivery of diclofenac to the site of pain. Voltaren Emulgel has a cooling, moisturising effect with no strong odours.
Dithylammonium gel 10mg/g, equivalent to diclofenac sodium 10mg/g
Rub gently into the affected area three times daily. The Emulgel technology helps the dithcal ion to selectively bind with the gel tissue. This allows the gel to penetrate deep and deeply into the skin to relieve pain and inflammation.
Do not use Voltaren Emulgel if you have a stomach ulcer or other gastrointestinal bleeding.
